The memory of Doris Ellen Landon of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, who passed away on July 30, 2025 at the age of 94, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Andrew Rothe and Helen Rothe (Pitz); her husband Duane Landon; her siblings, Dorothy Rothe, Jane Stahl (Gaylord), Alice Kuhns (Bobby), Idella Hogan (Bill), Willard Rothe (Virginia), Elmer Rothe (Helen), Lynn Rothe (Lucille), Verl Rothe (Edna) and Dale Rothe (Judy); and her brother-in-law Leland Landon (Helen).
She is survived by: her children, David Landon of Plattsmouth, NE, Doug Landon (Kim) of Grand Island, NE and Diane Stastka (Ron) of Fremont, CA; her grandchildren, Matthew Landon, Timothy Landon, Eric Landon, Rebecca Rehder, Nicole Hauf and Claire Stastka; and her siblings-in-law, Norma Landon, Helen Tritt, Linda Landon, Don Landon and Harlan Landon. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Roby Funeral Home (346 A Avenue, Plattsmouth, NE 68048). A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (702 Main St, Plattsmouth, NE 68048).
