It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kevib Thomas Hester of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, who passed away on April 27, 2025, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Kevib Thomas has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis "Bud" Thomas Hester and Mary Evelyn VanDyne-Hester (Carney); and his brother Larry VanDyne. He is survived by: his daughter Samantha Hester of Plattsmouth, NE; his granddaughter Silver; and his siblings, Sherry Phillips (Richard) of Green Pond, SC, Robert VanDyne (Randeen) of Plattsmouth, NE, Mark VanDyne of Council Bluffs, IA and Daniel Hester of Derby, KS. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Roby Funeral Home (346 A Avenue, Plattsmouth, NE 68048). A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (149 Oak Hill Rd, Plattsmouth, NE 68048).
