It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Braatz (Plattsmouth, Nebraska), who passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Dale Tyler and Blanche Odessa Tyler (Carothers); her grandparents, John and Bertha Carothers; her son Louis Braatz Jr.; her husband Lou Braatz Sr.; and her brother Warren Dale Tyler.

She is survived by: her friends, Jim and Shirley Welter; her daughters, Melinda Classen (Bruce) of Omaha, NE and Laurie Voss (Jim) of Plattsmouth, NE; her grandchildren, Louis Braatz III, Lisa Voss, Crystal Braatz, Sarah Ward (Classen), Wallace Braatz, Jennifer Dasovic (Voss), Edwin Braatz and Michael Classen; her cousins, Douglas Jones and Mary Stevens; and her friends, Phyllis Seda and Betty Hoschar. She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter.
