He was predeceased by: his parents, Lumir Mestl and Marie Mestl (Mendlik); and his siblings, Virginia Meister (Meister) and Eugene Mestl. He is survived by: his wife Janet Mestl of Plattsmouth; his children, Stephanie Polk (Anthony) of Lincoln, NE, Melissa Mestl of Plattsmouth and Matthew Mestl (Jennifer) of Omaha; and his grandchildren, Lucy Polk (Gavin Lehmann), Madelaine Polk, Sophie Polk, Claire Polk, Catherine Polk, Maria Polk, Josephine Polk, Jaxton Mestl and Emma Mestl. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
