We are sad to announce that on November 19, 2020, at the age of 79, Sheila Kaye Speck of Plattsmouth, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Keith and Beulah Viola Marsh (Corning); and her brother Ronald Marsh. She is survived by: her husband Jay Speck of Plattsmouth, NE; her daughter Benne Jo Speck of Plattsmouth, NE; her grandsons, Nash Speck-Van Helton of Plattsmouth, NE and Casey Speck-Van Helton (Maddie) of Plattsmouth, NE; and her great grandchildren, Braelyn, Riley and Miles. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

“Sheila was an amazing mentor to me and the countless other new JAGs she trained in her many years she at Offutt. Bottomline: She taught me how to litigate. Sheila was never shy about offering advice - mainly reminding me to keep a poker face in the court room! She was forgiving in her transcription and had a great sense of humor. Sheila was truly one of a kind and will be missed. My condolences to Jay & the family.”
