He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Wehrbein and Vivian Wehrbein (Johns); and his sisters-in-law, Jeanene Wehrbein and Marlys Wehrbein. He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his sons, Chad (Becky) and Cory (Teri); his grandchildren, Jude, Sage, Mila and Micah; and his brothers, Roger, Dan and Ted Wehrbein (Carol). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials in Steve's memory may be directed to the First Presbyterian Church, Nebraska State Fair or the Plattsmouth Lion's Club.
