He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Dauel and Lillie Dauel (Rodehorst); his siblings, Dorathy (Russell Lindner), Wanda (Eugene Unick), Darold Dauel and Robert (Fay Dauel); his siblings-in-law, Harold Daake (Cork) and Yolanda Daake; and his stepgrandson Christopher Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Bernadine (Daake) of Mary's Prairie Center Catholic Church; his children, Kelly Hartman (Wade) of Gibbon, Kevin (Dee Adams) of Merna and Jeff of Peru; his grandchildren, Julie Chramosta (John) of Ravenna, Colby Hartman (Lindy), Chad Hartman (Hallie), Easton Dauel, Mark Chramosta, Blake Chramosta (Audra), Chelsey Petersen (Bennett), Kaitlin Dauel and Brooke Chramosta; his stepgrandchildren, Lisa, Paul, Shane, Bridget and Kelsey; his great grandchildren, Hallie, Garrett, Luke, Caylee Hartman, Bowen, Brynlee, Blair, Blane, Baylor Petersen, Nealie and Bauer Hartman; his brother Donald Dauel (Sharon); and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Dauel, Marie Menke (Mel), Betty Daake, Carol Buoy (Roger), Greg Daake (Jan) and Leonard Daake (Denise).
