She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Ruhnke and Elizabeth Ruhnke (Mahloch); her husband Wilbert Frey; her siblings, Robert Ruhnke and Jane Nider; her parents-in-law, Alfred and Alvina Frey; and her siblings-in-law, Marvin Frey (Helga) and Bernetta Huenke (Edgar).
She is survived by: her daughters, Ginger Pittman (Mark) of Pickrell, Joni Waldo (Kendal Hieronymus) of Pickrell and Jill Petersen of Fairbury; her grandchildren, Abby VanLaningham (Matt), Kate Meints (Matt), Hannah Bell (Nick), Laura Chisano, Cara Steele (Jacob), Megan Mart (Zach), Thomas Waldo (Natalie Jones), Jacob Petersen (Adry) and Jarod Petersen (Brittney); and her brother-in-law Larry Nider of Beatrice. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the family for future designation.
