He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Richard (Dick), Margaret Shotkoski, Fritz, Janet Engel, Dennis Rikenberg (Denny), Emmett and Rogene Shoup; his aunts, Patricia Engel and Annette Hellbusch; and his uncle Stephen Shotkoski.
He is survived by: his parents, Tom Engel and Karen Engel (Shotkoski) of Clarks; his wife Katelyn Engel (Shoup); his daughters, Reese and Sage; his sisters, Holly Stillwell (Mike) of Unadilla, Brooke Hawthorne (Jon) of Lincoln, Whitney Dubas (Jarrid) of Fullerton and Chloe Engel (Zane Morgan) of Lincoln; his sisters-in-law, Kylie Smith (Garrison) of Clarks and Kinsley Pietig (Cody) of Omaha; and his nieces and nephews, Jaxon, Harmony, Jameson, Hadley, Lola, Bowden, Berkley, Brynlee, Laramie, Adalyn, Hazel, Briella, Porter, Josie, Knox and Dubas. He is also survived by his four sisters and an uncle who brought joy to his family full of sixteen nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (2406 E 26 Rd, Polk, NE 68654). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Logan Engel Family Memorial Fund established at First State Bank of Hordville to support his wife and family during this difficult time.
