Ruth Ann Sandell Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Ruth Ann Sandell of Polk, Nebraska. Ruth Ann, born on December 15, 1939, passed away on August 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Eberhard and Alice Eberhard (Gaibler); her brother-in-law Kent Sandell; and her cousins, Donna Kay Loschen and Mary Ann Gutshall (Bob).

She is survived by: her husband Neal Sandell of Polk; her children, Kevin Sandell (Melody) of Polk, Michel Peterson (Lee) of Stromsburg, Lynne' Bergt (Cory) of Lincoln and Cary Sandell (Becki) of Malcolm; her sister Lois Spellman of Kensington, MD; her sisters-in-law, Diane Hanke (Roger) of Palmer and Karla Sandell of Kellogg, IA; her cousin Darroll Loschen of Elkhorn; her grandchildren, Chloe Sandell, Noah Sandell, Jared Peterson (Heidi), Connor Peterson (Taylor), Cayden Bergt, Alayna Bergt, Shanae Bergt, Courtney Sandell (Connor Swim), Emily Sandell and Jessica Sandell; and her great grandchildren, Whit Peterson and Monroe Peterson.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the High Prairie Community Church (115 N Hickory St, Polk, NE 68654). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.

Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later time.
