He was predeceased by: his siblings, Bernard, Herbert, John, Robert, Joseph, William, Kathryn, Margarite, Delores and Anne.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Nelson of Sioux City, Lisa Kunzie (Don) of Sioux City, Marjorie Manker (Craig) of Dakota Dunes, SD and Paul McCardle (Jena) of Bloomfield, NE.; and his grandchildren, Jason Nelson (Traci), Chandra Chase-Deboer (Jenni), Rachel Senger (Cody), Shelby Larsen (Jordan), Larissa McCardle and David McCardle. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Mohr Funeral Home (218 East St, Ponca, NE 68770). A prayer was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
