We announce the death of Mary Jo Peters of Potter, Nebraska, who passed away on May 31, 2026, at the age of 90. Mary Jo will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Jay Peters; her children, Dennis Peters and Ann Marie; her granddaughter Sara Russell; her brother Jim Walsh; her parents, Dennis Walsh and Faye Walsh (Cortney); and her in-laws, JC, Minnie Peters (Jahn), Betty Albert (Peters) and Cathy Peters (Maier).
She is survived by: her daughters, Margaret (Bob Noonan), Karen Peters, Diane (Maury Horst) and Connie (Paul Pryde); her grandchildren, Brad (Hayley Noonan), Dan (Heather Noonan), Melisa (Scott Fesmire), Jordan Peters, Justine (Spencer Jobman), Amanda (Robby Reilly), Katherine (Reese Swatsworth), Cutter (Ashley Pryde) and Deanna Horst; her brother-in-law Jack Peters; her siblings, Kay (Chris Kachulis), Agnes, Dennis, Tom and Beth Walsh; Renee Peters. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to your choice of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Dalton, the Ronald McDonald House of Denver, or the Sidney Public Library Foundation.
