He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Obermiller and Elsie Obermiller (Dethlefs); his brothers, Wayne and Oren; and his siblings-in-law, Judy, JoAnn, Howard Sturm and Frank Mussatto.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Sturm of Ravenna; his children, Dale Obermiller (Dawn) of Omaha, DeAnn Psota (Kent) of Rockville, NE and Dwayne Obermiller (Torri) of Norfolk; his brother Loren Obermiller (Donna) of Ravenna; and his sisters-in-law, Arline Mussatto of Romeoville, IL and Carole Sturm of Tennessee. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
