He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane Preston and Ann Preston (McAvoy); and his sister Susan Reis. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Erickson of Rosalie, NE; his sister Michalla Burmester (Gary) of Fremont, NE; his siblings-in-law, Donald Reis of Rosalie, NE, Judy Schroeder (Mike) of Clear Lake, IA, Brenda Guffy (LeRoy) of Sioux City, IA and Michelle Vavra of Sioux City, IA; and his nieces and nephews, Aaron Reis (Tammy) of Homer, NE, Ryan Reis (Renae) of Beatrice, NE, Megan Meyer (Cory) of Bancroft, NE, Michelle Mapes (Brad Richards) of California and Jeff Burmester (Dawn Burmester) of Fremont, NE. He is also survived by several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
