He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth E. Werner and Allene Werner (Carter); his grandparents, Ed Werner and Laura Werner; and his sister Karen Werner Weed.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle Werner of Albion, NE; his children, Carol Werner of Austin, TX, Curt Werner (Lisa) of St. Edward, NE and Eric Werner of Austin, TX; his grandchildren, Clayton Werner of St. Edward, NE, Cortney Miller (Bart) of Valentine, NE, Madison Petrmichl (Grant) of Round Rock, TX, Haydn Muir of Scottsdale, AZ and Isabella Werner of Austin, TX; his great grandchild Taw Miller; his sister Lorrie Werner (Dick Standaert) of Colorado Springs, CO; his brother-in-law Del Weed of Lincoln, NE; and his nephews, Dan Weed (Jane) of Cincinnati, OH, Bill Weed (Peg Abels) of Kearney, NE and Andrew Standaert (Kiel Thedford) of Milwaukee, WI. He is also survived by many other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Edward Christian Community Church (501 Beaver St, St Edward, NE 68601). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Edward Fire Department, and the Evergreen Cemetery, St. Edward, NE.
