It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Florence Rose Duester of Saint Paul, Nebraska, born in Loup City, Nebraska, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Stanley Placek and Vera Placek (Leas); her husband Melvin Duester of Josaphat's Catholic Church; her parents-in-law, Otto and Mary Duester; her siblings, Edward Placek, John (Dene Placek), Alfred Placek, Stella (Bill Schimonitz) and Marie (Joe Hoult); and her siblings-in-law, Clayton, Loretta Duester, Louis and Arlene Boehle.

She is survived by : her daughter Cindi; her son-in-law Ron Layher; her grandchildren, Chris Layher (Kaylee Thomsen), Julie Layher and Heather Layher; her great grandchildren, Lexy, Owen and Weston Schulte; her granddaughter Angie (Aaron Parker); her great grandchildren, Nolan, Emma Sundermeier, Cobin and Kinley Parker; her son Tim; her daughter-in-law Linda Duester; her granddaughter Megan (Jeff Schroder); her great grandchild Colton Schroder; her grandson Matt Duester (Joanna Frink); her great grandchild Paxton Frink; her grandchildren, Macey Duester and Michael Duester (Jasmine Podany); her great grandchild Dillon Duester; her sister Frances Panowicz; and her sister-in-law Dixie Placek.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church (713 Elm St, St Paul, NE 68873). A rosary was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church (713 Elm St, St Paul, NE 68873). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials are suggested to family to be designated at a later date.
