It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Joseph Smith of Saint Paul, Nebraska, born in Greeley, Nebraska, who passed away on March 10, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Mark T. Smith and Elizabeth Smith (Barry); his wife Aggie Smith; and his siblings, Jack, Billy, Catherine Smith, Rosie Dugan and Dorothy Zeleski.

He is survived by : his children, Jerry Pat Smith (Sherry) of Spalding, NE, John Smith (Karen) of Broken Bow, NE, Eileen Hubl (Gene) of Lawrence, NE, Dann Smith (Stacy) of Columbus, NE and Sheila Sweenie (John) of Brush, CO; and his sister Betty Costello of Grand Island, NE. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
