Velma Stewart Obituary
The passing of Velma Stewart of Saint Paul, Nebraska leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 3, 2025 at the age of 100. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hans Leschinsky and Martha Leschinsky (Teng); her husband Wayne Stewart; her children, Beverly Stewart, Deanna "Dee" Reinhardt and Eudell Stewart; and her siblings, Louie, Elmer, Ervin, Arnold Leschinsky, Myrt Buhrman, Alice Southard, Lorraine Wissing and Marge Townsend.
She is survived by: her sons, Tom Metcalf (Bob Fry), Lonnie (Aldene Stewart), Randy (Louise Stewart) and Rodney Stewart of Grand Island. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church (403 Mill St S, Dannebrog, NE 68831). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Oakridge Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Cairo Volunteer Fire Department and QRT in Cairo, Nebraska.
