He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Gabel and Marie Gabel (Hilzer); and his siblings, Richard Gabel (Ann) and Katherine Swanson (Dick). He is survived by: his wife Iva Gabel; his sons, Greg and Brian Gabel; his granddaughters, Briana Gabel and Gabi Coulson (Gabel); and his brother Harry Gabel. He is also survived by four nephews and one niece.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Valley View Cemetery (301 E 30th Ave, Torrington, WY 82240).
Memorials can be made to the Senior Friendship Center in Alvin's name.
