He was predeceased by: his mother Kathryn Schneider (Asmus); his brother Larry Schneider; his sister-in-law Nancy Abrams; his nephew Riley Schneider; his niece Leizza Bradford; and his great-nieces, Briar Stuart and Mickey Schneider.

He is survived by: his father Carl Schneider; his wife Donna Schneider; his daughter Natalie Birt (Jacob); his brothers, Harvey Schneider (Jessie), Jim Schneider (Jo Ann) and Bob Schneider (Rhonda); and his siblings-in-law, Deb Schneider and Mike Abrams. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Memorials may be given to the Western Nebraska Veterans Home or the family.
