He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Jon Lockwood (Vicki) of Omaha, Nebraska, Tracy Schoenhofer (Todd) of Andover, Kansas, Troy Hilyard (Tracy Schweich) of Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Chad Hilyard (Jennifer) of Centennial, Colorado; his grandchildren, Taylor Lockwood (Nicole), Casie Hilyard, Ashley Hilyard, Cade Schoenhofer, Brett Schoenhofer, Olivia Hilyard and Emersen Hilyard; his children, Tyler McNair (Christina), Tucker McNair, Kelsey Schweich and Karley Rodriquez (Lehi); and his siblings, Genene Morrison (Stuart), Linda Abbott, Andrea Johnson (Steve), Jerry (Mary Patterson) and Dick (Pam Skersick). He is also survived by three great‑grandchildren.
