She is survived by: her children, Calleen Darnell (Jim), Tom Gompert (Anne), Russ Gompert (Jan), Gary Gompert (Brenda) and Lori Blehm (late Kenny); her grandchildren, Jerry Darnell (Brenda), Jeff Darnell (Stacy), Jon Darnell (Alli), Pete Gompert (Amy), Michael Gompert, Sara Knutson (Ryan), Ryan Gompert (Katy), Emily Murray, Ross Gompert (Katie), Josh Gompert (Jenny), Katie Freeland (Travis), Aaron Blehm (Ann Marie) and Amy Lease (Spencer); her great grandchildren, Jack, Allie, Samatha, Jake, Joslyn, Daxon, Jane, Ben, Caden, Brock, Halle, Rexton, Reed, Rory, Ryce, Audrey, Claire, Henry, Grayson, Jada, Crew, Taylor, Madison, Ella, Lauren, Abigail, Andrew, Kinley and Mason; her great great grandchild Jagger; her daughters, Dora Reins and Mary Smith; and her brother-in-law Dave Fonken. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Harvest Valley Church (743 Winter Creek Dr, Scottsbluff, NE 69361). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at the Sunset Memorial Park (180398 U. s. 26 Frontage Rd, Scottsbluff, NE 69361).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given, in her honor, to the Sunflower Historical Society or Lincoln Heights Elementary in Scottsbluff.
