She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Roger and Alyce Mae Pelton Tollefson; her husband George A. Thornton (Butch); her son-in-law Shelldon Skelcher; her parents-in-law, Aldon and Virginia Thornton; and her sisters-in-law, Vivian Tully Yenne and Virginia Gregory.
She is survived by: her children, Betsy Elizabeth, Tracey McMackin (Jerry) and Matthew Thornton (April); her siblings, James Tollefson (Vicky) and Marge Groom (Stan); her grandchildren, Wynne (Hagen McCormick), Alec Burg (Mickayla), Brooke (David Wiegel), Ryan (Kaitlyn), Kolten McMackin (Jayla Brehmer), Reece, Nick Thornton and Shannon Skelcher (Justin Earnshaw); and her great grandchildren, Quinten, Caspen Burg, Alaina, Cian McCormick, Brecken, David Jr. Wiegel and Krue McMackin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
