It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Lou Applegate of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, who passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Schance and Pearl Schance (Winters); her siblings, William, Robert, Gilbert and Doris; her husband Stanley Applegate; her sons-in-law, Gary Groskopf and Arlyn Kerman; and her great grandchild Timothy Fehringer.
She is survived by: her children, Sherrie Leistritz (Jerry), Sharon Bauer (Doug), Sue Looney (Brian), Sally McCoy (Allan), Shirley Kreman and Joe Applegate (Carolyn); and her grandchildren, Sara Fehringer (John), Jeff Leistritz, Andy Leistritz (Sherry), Dustin Bauer (Emyly), Mitch Bauer (Casandra), Alyssa Fraiser (Andrew), Adam Looney (Casey Mapes), Aaron McCoy, Ashley McCoy (Taylor Mothershead), Geoff Groskopf (Lindsey Roundtree), Shane Groskopf, Catherine Conard (Derrik) and Matthew Applegate.
