She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sterkel and Nettie Sterkel (Reuben Johannes). She is survived by: her husband Rolland "Rollie" Friend; her children, Debbie Langer (Terry) of Minatare, Vickie Whisler of Gering, James Friend (Deb) of Grand Island, Janice Staman (Mark) of Grand Island and Laurie Friend; her son-in-law Adolph Koncaba; her brother Jack; her sister-in-law Betty Sterkel; her sisters, Betty Salway and Janice; and her brother-in-law Reiny Rahmig. She is also survived by Eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
