Verna June Korell Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna June Korell (Scottsbluff, Nebraska), who passed away on March 28, 2026 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Blackburn and Gertrude Blackburn (Simon); her brothers, Leroy and Melvin; her husband Kenneth Korell; and her daughter Kathy Steiner.

She is survived by: her children, Mark Korell (Nancy) of Scottsbluff, NE, Coleen Spinden (Paul) of Westminster, CO and Gail Korell (Doug Brown) of Minneapolis, MN; her son-in-law Gene Steiner of Kyle, TX; her grandchildren, Brad Korell (Michele) of Huron, SD, Brian Korell (Julie) of Lincoln, NE, Joy Moore (Ryan) of Buda, TX, Justin Steiner of Celina, TX, Cora Brown (Peter Crady) of Minneapolis, MN and Aaron Brown (Anna Drexler) of Brooklyn, NY.; her great grandchildren, Aleesa Williams (Gary), Melady Hofer (Jonathon), Austen Korell (Sarah), Aden Korell, Ryley Moore, Isaac Korell (Laney Schmit), William Steiner and Jackson Steiner; and her great great grandchildren, Sophia Hofer, Fallon Williams and Olivia Hofer. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Rock Church or to donor's choice.
