He was predeceased by: his parents, George Kent and Nellie Kent (Serl); his wife Lisetta Kent; his son Timothy Kent; his sons-in-law, Mark Mueller and Robert Schulz; his great grandchild Harper Andelt; his siblings, Wallace Kent (Mabel), Richard Kent (Noreen), Harold Kent (Helen), Marvin Kent (Dorothy), Robert Kent (Erma), Wyona Kennedy (Melvin) and Wauneta Beiriger (Irvin); and his brothers-in-law, Lester Mohling (Verna), Wesley Mohling (Dorothy) and Kenneth Mohling (Wanza).
He is survived by: his children, Russ Kent (Mary), Carlene Schulz and Sharon Mueller; his granddaughter Angela Andelt (Steve); his great grandchildren, Zane, Hayes and Clay; his grandson Jeremy Kent (Crystal); his great grandchildren, Camden and Brayden; his grandson Adam Kent (Julie); his great grandchild Carter; his grandson Eric Mueller (Andria); his great grandchildren, Madelynn, Makenzie, Michael Mueller (Angela), Katelyn Bapat (Johnny) and Rachel Schulz; William, Stella, Greyson and Hunter. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
