We are sad to announce that on October 6, 2025, at the age of 87, Fred Applegarth in Seward, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Fred departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Fred. Though Fred may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Applegarth and Ruby Irene Applegarth (Boston); and his daughter Becky Lynn. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Applegarth of Morrowville, KS; his children, Jim Applegarth (Rose) of Morrowville, KS, Donna Portenier (Brad) of Washington, KS, Connie Singleton (Marty) of St. George, KS and Kathy Roberts (Gary) of Hebron, NE; his sisters, Dorothy Kershner of Columbus, OH and Wilma Naylor of Lincoln, NE; and his siblings' child Church. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.
