He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Watson and Vivian Watson (Mercer); his parents-in-law, John and Dolores McBride; and his siblings-in-law, Hollis, Kathy Bragg and Art Rohweder.
He is survived by: his wife Penny Watson (McBride) of Utica, Nebraska; his daughters, Shelia Petersen of Seward, Nebraska and Shelley Watson of Seward, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Brandon Prochnow (Tara) of Wahoo, Shalyn Williams (Patrick) of Elkhorn, Lane Watson (Grace) of Brainard and Grant Petersen of Lincoln, Nebraska; his great grandchildren, Boone Klabenes and Lainey Watson; his brother Ron Watson (Velma) of Utica, Nebraska; and his siblings-in-law, Rick McBride (Angie Wright) of Valley, Dan McBride (Hali) of Gresham, Nebraska and Candy Rohweder of Beaver Crossing, Nebraska.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Volzke Funeral Home (147 Main St, Seward, NE 68434). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (700 2nd St, Utica, NE 68456). A committal service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Utica Cemetery.
