She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Means and Ruth Means (Pestel); her husband David Hoefs; her stepmother Malinda Means; her brother Melvin; her in-laws, Danny, Dolores Hoefs, Virgil, Delores Hoefs, Marilyn, Don Schlueter, Gary, Dorothea Hoefs, Tom Hoefs, Sarah Nielsen and Alice Lemmon; her nieces, Vivian Collins and Susan McShane; her stepsiblings, Wally Rabbass, Larry Rabbass and Lois Kudlac; and her stepnieces, Linda Montgomery and Sue Kudlac.
She is survived by: her children, Brad Hoefs (Donna) of Elkhorn, NE and Brenda Rief (Tom) of Seward, NE; her foster son Kevin Meier; her sister Gladys Whitcomb (Stan) of Scottsdale, AZ; her grandchildren, Noah Hoefs (Meghan) of Las Vegas, NV, Luke Rief (Kayla) of Lincoln, NE, Tait Rief of Seward, NE and Noelle King; her great grandchildren, Jayden King, Ava King, Benjamin Rief, Joshua Rief, Malachi King and Zion Hoefs; her in-laws, Bob Lemmon and Kathy Schoch; and her stepsibling Larraine Weitzenkamp (Carol Giesselman). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
