She was predeceased by: her mother Merlene Prout (Buckley); her daughter Amy Elizabeth McDowell; her father William "Curt" Prout; her sisters, Carol Brown and Mildred "Rae" McDowell; and her brothers-in-law, Robert Brown and Edward McDowell.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Lurz (Lyle) of Utica and Robert Durlin of Bailey, Colorado; her grandchildren, Jason Miller (Renae Hicks) of Rapid City, Brandon Miller (Sara) of Lincoln, Sarah Albright (Nate) of Lincoln, Cory McDowell of Burgoberbach, Germany, Kyle Durlin of Lakewood and Clarissa Bradford of Westminster; her stepgrandchildren, Travis Lurz (Shantel) of Alliance, Brittany Schroeder (Garrett) of Grand Island and Sydney Burkhard (Derick) of Colorado; her brother William B. Prout (Dianne) of Longmont, Colorado; and her former husband Lawrence Durlin of Commerce City, Colorado. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Her last employment was with the Colorado School of Mines (CSM) Foundation where she processed donations and entered data.
