It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lyal Zwick (Seward, Nebraska), who passed away on January 9, 2026, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Zwick and Emilie Zwick (Mailand); his wife Arleen Zwick; his son Jeffrey Zwick; his sister Elaine; and his siblings-in-law, Vern Strauch and Virginia Zwick.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Tonniges (Randall) of Gresham, Thomas Zwick (Marjorie) of Seward and Shirdell Sabin (Pat); his friend Staplehurst; his grandchildren, Joel Tonniges (Casey), Staci Bolton (Matt), Brandon Tonniges (Lindsey), Chad Zwick (Renee), Darin Zwick, Kristen Laurent (Kent), Justin Sabin and Jake Sabin; his great grandchildren, Chaylee Tonniges, Cheyenne Tonniges, Mackenzie Bolton, Chance Bolton, Dillon Tonniges, Gradyn Tonniges, Carlee Zwick, Adelyn Zwick, Kiptyn Zwick, Tenley Zwick, Blakeley Zwick, Ava Laurent and Graham Laurent; and his brother Maurice Zwick. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
