He was predeceased by : his parents, Clayton Eugene and Jannette Lee Boring (Bucher); his son Brian Nelson Boring; his grandparents, Walter, Lucille Boring, Leo and Alma Bucher; his parents-in-law, Marvin and Ardeth Rader; and his brother-in-law Steven Rader.

He is survived by : his wife Sue Boring; his sons, Matthew Boring (Hanna Pinneo) of Lincoln and Casey Boring of Lincoln; his siblings, Barry Boring (Kay Chrisman) and Linnette (Jeff Fankhauser); his siblings-in-law, Ron Rader (Jonna Smith), Barb Winter of Lincoln and Sharon Brewster of Lincoln; his uncle Gerald (Shirley Bucher) of Marana, AZ; his aunts, Lauralee Bucher of Auburn, NE and Sherryn Rist of Humboldt, NE; and his pet Shyloh. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins.
