He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Ehrlich and Viola Ehrlich (Bogenhagen); and his siblings-in-law, Richard Dowding Sr., Dick, Della Miers, Ray Landenberger, Richard Hans, Marjorie Junge and Nancy Johnson.

He is survived by : his wife Linda Ehrlich of Seward, Nebraska; his sons, Matthew Ehrlich of Scottsbluff, James Ehrlich of Seward, Eric Ehrlich (Alison) of Lincoln and Philip Ehrlich of Seward, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Alicia Davis (Bryce), Kielyn Ehrlich, Braden Chipman and Cassidy Chipman; his great grandchildren, Charllet and Rylan Davis; his sister Deanna Dowding; and his siblings-in-law, Delbert Junge and Judy Landenberger.
