He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Hans and Thelma Hans (Reynolds); his siblings, Roger and Mary (Larry Evans); and his siblings-in-law, Orville Schuster, Melvin Masur and Joann Masur.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnne Hans of Seward; his children, Brenda Janak (Chris) of Brainard, NE, Janelle Schuttler (Mark) of Omaha, NE, Brad (Tiffanie) of Lincoln, NE and Pamela Hochstein (Glen) of Seward, NE.; his grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Meagan Janak, Grant, Jared, Delaney Schuttler, Austin (Haley), Colton (Ashlyn), Christian (Kati), Landon, Kathryn, Ryan, Owen, Allison, Nolan Hans, Mitchell, Nathan and Dylan Hochstein; his great grandchildren, Grayson, Camden, Noah, Benjamin, Alayna, Alora and Aaliyah; and his sisters-in-law, MaryAnn Hans and Elaine Schuster.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (152 Pinewood Ave, Seward, NE 68434). A rosary was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
