Wes Skilton Obituary
In loving memory of Wes Skilton of Seward, Nebraska, who departed this world on October 18, 2025 at the age of 94. Wes leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Skilton and Emily Skilton (Schrenk); his wife Jean Skilton; and his brothers, Walter Skilton and Edward Skilton.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Thacker (Robert) of Mauston, Shelley Schluckebier (Fredrick) of Seward, Bethany Danek (Thomas) of Lincoln and Jon Skilton (Ann) of Largo, Florida; his grandchildren, Erin Hays (Andrew Ratliff), Kim Frey (Jeff), Stephanie Harrison (James), Victoria Matulka, Cody Skilton (Madeline), Jacob Skilton (Shiloh), Brandon Skilton (Hailey), Cassidie Skilton and Marissa Skilton; and his stepgrandchildren, Justin Danek (Lindsey), Andrew Danek (Jennifer) and Chelsea Kinstler (Todd). He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, 12 step-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Volzke Funeral Home (147 Main St, Seward, NE 68434). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (2668 Pioneers Rd, Milford, NE 68405).
