He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruno Spotanski and Janet Spotanski (Whitehead); his brother Joseph Spotanski; and his brothers-in-law, Terry Connley and Darald Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Linda of Shelton; his daughters, Annette Neilen (Martin) of Gibbon, NE and Cynthia Hawn (Michael) of Cozad, NE; his stepdaughters, Jodi Sturghill (Rob) of Colorado Springs, CO and Jessica Camplin (Jim) of Grand Island, NE; his grandchildren, Amanda Howell (Justin), Abrielle White (Levi), Kyler Meredith (Emily), Riley Meredith, Sayer Hawn and Sage Hawn; his stepgrandchildren, Sarah Holt, Tevin Holt (Sydney), Tyler Sturghill, Alex Sturghill, Kaitlyn Camplin and Kinsley Camplin; and his siblings, MaryAnn Nelson of Hastings, NE, Connie Spotanski of Broken Bow, NE, Cathy Dusin (Harlan) of Phillipsburg, KS, Martha Spotanski of Broken Bow, NE, Jerry Spotanski (Linda) of Plattsmouth, NE, Fred Spotanski of Loup City, NE, Alice Connley of Broken Bow, NE and Bob Spotanski of Marquette, NE.. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren and one on the way; five step great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shelton United Methodist Church (207 A St, Shelton, NE 68876). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
