She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Reese and Minnie Reese (Muhlbach); her husband Eldon Kanode; her sister Marjorie Stelter; her brother-in-law Herman Stelter; her sister Jean Reese; and her daughter-in-law Melanie Kanode.
She is survived by: her sons, Lon (Anne) of Hansville, WA, Joel Kanode and Doran Kanode of Shelton, NE; and her grandchildren, Kelinda Gilg (Aaron) of Kearney, NE, Darth Kanode (Lisa) of Exeter, NE, Tamara Snider (John) of Kearney, NE, Heather Staskal (Nathan) of Exeter, NE and Tyler Kanode of Fullerton, CA. She is also survived by 16 great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; as well as her extended family.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Shelton Cemetery (19400 W Burmood Rd, Wood River, NE 68876).
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
