He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Grell and Matilda Grell (Steinkuehler); his wife Sharon Kay Waller of Paul's Lutheran Church; his granddaughter Brittany Grell; his brothers, DeWayne and Charles; and his siblings-in-law, Fred Mohr, Ron Kaelin, Jim Waller, Linda Grell and Patricia Grell.
He is survived by: his children, Craig Grell and Christine Hull; his grandchildren, Amanda Jones, Chelsea Grell and Dustin Jones; his great grandchild Kai Jones-Pearson; and his sisters, Darlene Mohr, Phyllis Kaelin and Debbie Grell.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
