He was predeceased by: his son Todd. He is survived by: his wife Jan; his children, Tony, Troy (Kristi), Travis (Teresa) and Tara Schutter (Don); his grandchildren, Austin, Lyndsey, MaKayla, Josh, Brandon, Nick, Jeff, Tom and Tessa; and his great grandchildren, Oakley and Wrenlee.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 5:15 PM at the Rock Sports Bar and Grill (1540 10th Ave, Sidney, NE 69162).

Parkinson's changed many things during Dean's final years, but it never changed the man at his core.
