Donald L. Whitmire Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald L. Whitmire of Sidney, Nebraska, who passed away on July 23, 2023 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Whitmire and Minnie Whitmire (Seyfang); his son Van Whitmire; and his son-in-law David Brown. He is survived by: his wife Lou Jean of Alma, NE; his children, Susan Whitmire Brown and Jon Whitmire (Linda) of Lincoln; his grandchildren, Chris Whitmire, Mike Whitmire (Jessica), Jay Brown (Katie), Kailee Dow (Matt), Elly Brown, Austin Whitmire and Ethan Whitmire; and his great grandchildren, Kaleb, Kaidyn, Hannah, Van, Kendall and Aiden.
Memorials are suggested to be directed to family to purchase a bench along the lake's walking path in front of their long-time Alma home.
