He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Haupt and Katherine Haupt (Eirich); his wife Glea Born of Paul's Lutheran Church; and his grandfather Jerry. He is survived by: his children, Kent Haupt of Goodyear, Arizona, Kathie Britt (Jerry) of Mesa, Arizona, Jerry Haupt (Cindy) of Sidney, Nebraska, Joe Haupt (Jacquie) of Kearney, Nebraska and Carla Segelke (Duane) of Sidney, Nebraska.; his sister-in-law Beverly Haupt of Sidney, Nebraska; his granddaughter Chelsie Segelke; and his siblings, Marie Kurz (Carl), Lydia Flohr (Fred), Martha Meyer (Edwin), Deana Staible (Ed), Emma Mathewson (Max), Albert Haupt (Phylis) and Ed Haupt. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (2305 San Marino Rd, Sidney, NE 69162).
