She was predeceased by: her parents, August Kai and Helen Kai (Habrock); and her husband Larry Alan Berner. She is survived by: her children, Wanda Brogren (Lyndell), Alan Berner (Brenda), Sondra Thies Dalton and Jerred Berner (Julie); and her grandchildren, Paul Brogren (Jackie), Bryan Brogren (Julie), Chelsea Johnson (Shawn), Dustin Berner (Shelly), Tyenne Berner, Kaitlyn Frerichs (Alex), Taylor Krupicka (Caleb), Alaina Rich (Heath), Jenna, Jaslyn and Kaicee Thies.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the United Church (124 State St, Dalton, NE 69131).
