He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Downey and Betty Downey (Bolin) of Sidney; and his wife Joni. He is survived by: his sons, John "Jay" Brumme (Jennifer) and Jared Brumme (Colleen) of Gonzales; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Brumme, Terra Brumme and Michael Brumme.
