He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton A. Steffens and Hilda L. Steffens (Leimbach); his son Loren; and his siblings, Norman, Leonard, Ruth and Gertrude.
He is survived by: his wife Deloris Esther Lessman of Sidney; his sons, Kenneth (Diana) of Sidney, NE, Rodney (Joan) of Lenexa, KS and Scott (Nola) of Shawnee, KS; and his grandchildren, Kenneth, Tabetha Steffens, Julia Steffens, Joe Yannacci, Theresa, Ryan Murphy, Jennifer Roecker, Danielle Steffens, Kristyn Steffens and Lane Stuart. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, along numerous nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
