He is survived by : his mother Ardath Smeal (Renter) of West Point; his wife Vicki Vakiner of Snyder; his children, Bryan Smeal of Hooper, Krista Jacobson of Pittsburgh, PA, Sonya Hunt (Jeremy) of Lincoln, Jessica Smeal (Kayla) of Malvern, IA, Leah Munoz (Joe) of Fremont and Derek Smeal of Omaha; his grandchildren, Taylor Schlecht (Paul), Jadyn, Jaryn Smeal, Ethan, Maya, Gavin Hunt, Felix, Violet, Scout, Grover and Adeline Smeal; his great grandchild Emersyn Schlecht; his siblings, Marlynn Hunke (Virgil) of Snyder, Renee Smeal of Omaha, Ellen Gross-Rhode (Myron) of Omaha, Denise Cerny (Rod) of Omaha, Mary Lou Tomka (Jim) of Lincoln, Lori Scherer (Jeff) of Beemer, Lowene Hasemann (Gary) of Snyder and Jay Smeal (Angie) of Lincoln; and his pet Tinker. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
