He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hunter and Nellie Hunter (Rich); his former wife Helen Johnson; his wife Ellen Jean Thomas; his grandchildren, Matthew Thoreson and Amy Thoreson; and his siblings, Ruth Collins, Vi Hunter, Daniel Hunter and Margie Mae.
He is survived by: his daughters, Beverly Thoreson of Largo, FL, Virginia "Ginny" Sheats (Charlie) and Penni Loy (Bill); his grandchildren, Debra Chesley (Jeremy), Rob Thoreson (Anna) and Anne Fox (Tom Henry); and his great grandchildren, Eli Thoreson, Sarah Thoreson, Gage Thoreson, Emma "Sammie" Dake and Nathaniel Chesley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
