He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Newton and Ida Marie Carter (Peter); his half-siblings, Wayne, Gale, Jerry and Thelma; his former wife Mary Jo; and his former wife's son Ronald Wayne Carter.
He is survived by: his children, Ronnie, Darrell (Linda) of Elk Point, Larry of Sioux City, Sandy (John), Mike (LeAnn) of Hinton, Sally (Tom) of McCook Lake, Pat (Penny) and Alan; and his sister Donna Pollard of Phoenix, Arizona. He is also survived by his eight children, 21 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM.
