We announce the death of Ralph G. Stephan (South Sioux City, Nebraska), who passed away on June 17, 2026, at the age of 90. Ralph will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel S. Stephan and Faye V. Stephan (Newman); and his siblings, Ramona Stephan Rohde, Richard Stephan and Ronald Stephan.
He is survived by: his wife Cleo J. South; his children, Ralph S. Stephan and Cynthia Stephan-Rowe (Matt); his stepchildren, Judy Church (Chris), Jean Evans (Steve Luft), Jim Evans (Cathy) and Janet Pettersson (Steve); his sisters-in-law, Katy Stephan and Barb Stephan; and his aunt Shirley Knight. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul United Methodist Church or the South Sioux City Senior Center, honoring Ralph's generous spirit and lifelong commitment to helping others.
