She was predeceased by : her parents, Edgar Hoar and Ruth Hoar (Karten); and her siblings, June Zersen, Mary Tunberg, Ruth Dashiell and Kenneth Karten.

She is survived by : her children, Dr. Lynne Kirk of Dallas, TX and Steven of Spencer; her grandchildren, Dr. Anne Kirk of Fort Worth, TX and Kory Kirk (Helen) of Fort Collins, CO; and her great grandchild Graham Kirk. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
